St. Vincent Scholarship details

The St. Vincent Scholarship is a needs-based scholarship for students enrolled in the Master of Social Work program. This award is available to students enrolled in 9 or more course credits per semester. Priority will be given to students who are affiliated with or planning a career in a social service agency in the area served by the Diocese of Davenport.

Student eligibility and enrollment requirements:

• Enrollment in SAU’s Master of Social Work program (at least 9 credits per semester)
• Preference given to students who are affiliated with, or plan to work in, a social service agency in the area served by the Diocese of Davenport.

Two students each year are selected for the St. Vincent Scholarship. A committee of MSW faculty and practicing social workers reviews applications and selects recipients with a preference for students who have financial need and are affiliated with or planning a career in a social service agency in the area served by the Diocese of Davenport.

The St. Vincent Scholarship is disbursed following a straightforward process:

1. The Master of Social Work Department shares a list of recipients with Financial Services.
2. Disbursement occurs at the beginning of each year.
3. Funds are directly credited to your account and applied toward tuition.
